Bible Camp 2026

SUMMER, EXCITEMENT, ENTHUSIASM, and ANTICIPATION – for 2026 - “WITH A WHOLE LOT OF JESUS” …. The Fall and Winter of 2025 have come and gone and the Spring season of 2026 is about to end, thus Summer is right around the corner, which means it is that time of year where the Shepherd’s Door Ministries kicks off its 2026 Summer Bible Camp in Union City, Georgia on Monday June 1st, which last throughout the summer.  For the youth in our area, our ministerial schedule has been established as our staff of volunteers and servant leaders are prepared to do a work of grace for the Lord Jesus Christ. As Under Shepherds and Overseers, called for this purpose by God, we are inspired to teach our young folks the moral principles and values of God, while at the same time giving them an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful activities or amenities of life created and inspired by God. When it comes to our young people, we understand that it takes plenty of creativity and imagination to connect with them spiritually, so we use the resources given and inspired by God to capture their attention so that seeds of righteousness can be planted in the soil of their hearts, with the expectation of them reaping the benefits of salvation and becoming “Born Again.” So, with that as our spiritual vision, we intend to make this an Ecclesiastical/CHURCHY type Summer of Salvation…. making sure the Shepherds Door serves as Spiritual/Apostolic Outpost, offering spiritual hope and strength with plenty of Godliness.

For us, it is a pleasure to have been assigned by the Lord Jesus Christ to influence the next generation for His Glory. Our mission is to give them spiritual guidance and direction during the summer months to prevent them from mishandling their relationship with time, hence not allowing boredom and temptations to cause them to make choices that are spiritually unhealthy… so this is where “THE SD Ministries” becomes an instrument in the hands of God, by helping them use their time creatively and imaginatively, while learning and growing spiritually……..because we were once their age, our goal is to help them channel their youthful energies in a manner that will not only keep them out of trouble but also help them understand the importance of spending time seeking the Lord.  For this reason, we have preplanned a summer filled with “Fun and Excitement” and a whole lot of “Jesus” -along with plenty of activities. From Exercises that include; Flag football, basketball, and soft ball; Biking For Jesus; from swimming to ultimate Frisbee; from Music to Dance that honors the Lord: from Bible study to Prayer; from Praise and Worship to Church; we anticipate the Joy of the Lord becoming their strength as they come to know Jesus. This is where your prayers and financial support become essential.

Each week, your financial gifts assist in feeding them at least three meals a day, along with housing most of them for the summer. Every Friday we venture to the Silver Comet Bike Trail for our weekly bike ride (Biking For Jesus), so we may have to purchase or rent bicycles for the ones new to the program…..In addition, we take them swimming at the local YMCA, so they need proper attire…….And most importantly, Daily devotions, weekly Bible studies, and Church services headline the schedule to keep them spiritually nourished, so we need to purchase Bibles so each child will have one.  And at the end of the Bible Camp, your financial gifts help cover the cost of them attending our 25th Annual Fellowship Retreat at the Country Hide Away, in Helen Georgia on July 19th -23rd. After that, we will then return to Atlanta for our Second annual Shepherd’s Door Tent Revival ….in scripture known as the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 33:7-11) - which is a spiritual throwback to the old days of reaching the community for God by holding nightly Camp meetings or Tent Services from July 23rd– 26th: Finally, during the month of August, we conclude our Summer Excitement with our BACK TO SCHOOL PRAISE PARTY, where we lend support to the parents by giving out school supplies purchased from your contributions.

For eight to twelve weeks, and then some, we will be dealing with children who come from mostly dysfunctional families within the Inner-City areas of Atlanta. We will feed, clothe, and house many of them. So, your prayers and financial participation in this matter is well needed, therefore, we ask for your monetary support to help us in this effort.

Thanks for your Support!
